As the Founding Vice-Chancellor, Ragavan leads the India International University which is a global university funded by the Bar Council of India Trust.
Ragavan’s scholarship emphasizes issues intersecting international trade law with intellectual property rights. Ragavan’s books include Patents and Trade Disparities in Developing Countries (Oxford Univ. Press, 2012); Diversity in Intellectual Property: Identities, Interests, and Intersections (Eds., Calboli, Cambridge Univ. Press, 2019) and Intellectual Property Law and Access to Medicines (Eds., Vanni, Routledge 2021). The book was listed as one of Book Authority’s Best New Intellectual Property Books to read in 2022. As the Director of Texas A&M’s International Programs, Ragavan oversaw and created robust online and joint degree programs in intellectual property law focused on South Asia.
